Official Foundation Reggae Artist Little Harry Exclusive Interview Jamai...

Official Foundation Reggae Artist Little Harry Exclusive Interview Jamaica 2022 πŸ‡―πŸ‡²

Little Harry was born in the parish of Saint Thomas, Jamaica. He attended the Bell Rock Prep School, then the Hampton Court Primary School, the Port Morant All-Age School and Saint Thomas Technical High School. He started deejaying when he was ten years old, that is in 1979. The first Sound System he featured on was Black Lion, which played at the Land Top in Port Morant, he was at this time 12-13 years old. The owner of the sound, Gogol, was a friend of Little Harry's.

When Little Harry went to a pushcart derby and competition in Port Morant Square at a place called Cotton Tree Toby, the owner of Aquarius sound that played that evening, let him take the microphone. It was a success. The following Sunday Little Harry had the opportunity to deejay at an Aces Disco dance that was at a place called Prospect down by the Blue Macho Beach. The same night Little Harry got a contract to deejay on the sound system.

In 1981 Little Harry entered the J.C.D.J National D.J. competition at the legendary Skateland. Even though Yellowman was the winner of the competition Little Harry was very well received. Little Harry and Yellowman became friends and were soon deejaying on the same dances. The record »Live at the Aces; Feeding in the Dance Hall« (1982) which featured Yellowman, Fathead, Jah Rubal and Little Harry was the first time Little Harry's voice was heard on record.

The following year, 1983, Little Harry started deejay for Junjo's legendary sound Volcano. He also recorded an album for Junjo a clash album between himself and fellow child deejay Billy Boyo. It was released by Greensleeves records as most of Junjo's albums were at the time. Little Harry is the winner of the clash.

In 1984 Little Harry moved once again, this time to King Jammy for whom he recorded several songs. In 1986 he started deejaying for King Sturmars Hifi. And the year after he recorded one of his biggest hits, Anorexal Body, for Skengdon.

Freddie McGregor - Reggae Christmas [Official Reggae Christmas Song]

Freddie McGregor - Reggae Christmas [Official Reggae Christmas Song] Freddie McGregor is one of reggae's most durable and soulful singers, with an incredibly steady career that started all the way back in the '60s, when he was just seven years old. Since then, he's spanned nearly every stylistic shift in Jamaican music, from ska and rocksteady to Rastafarian roots reggae to lovers rock (his particular specialty) to dabblings in dancehall, ragga, and dub. Not just a singer, he wrote some of his own material, and grew into an accomplished producer as well. McGregor's heyday was the early '80s, when he released several high-quality albums and reached the peak of his popularity in Jamaica and England. However, he remained a strong presence on the reggae scene well into the new millennium.

Bunny General - Exclusive Interview 2018

Bunny General - Exclusive Interview 2018

Claudius Douglas, better known as Bunny General, is recognized and respected world wide as a veteran reggae and dancehall artist. He began performing in the dancehall with various sound systems long before he got an opportunity to work on a stage show. Some of the sounds that he would frequently work with back then were Rocking Saint, Elrino, Stur Mars and Cosmic Force. He eventually graduated from performing in the dancehalls to taking the stage and entertaining the masses. Bunny as he is affectionately called, began making music in the late seventies and officially got his recognition in 1983. That was the year he recorded and released “goat rider” for King Tubbys. The success of that single opened doors for Bunny General and made it possible for him to voice for major names such as King Jammys, Bobby Digital, Mikey Bennet and other decorated labels. Bunny General has done work with artists like Lt. Stitchie, Papa San, Johnny Ringo, Yellow Man, Josey Wales, Charley Chaplin, Early B, Super Cat, Beenie Man and many others in the capacity of either touring, collaboration and/or song writing. He can also boast several number ones in various countries and the release of albums for Digital B, Johnny P and Tuffis. Having no intentions of slowing down, Bunny General has released singles in 2011 on several rhythm driven projects like Preview, Tour and others. Additionally, he was recently booked for a two months European tour alongside dancehall heavy weight, Junior Cat.
